Beneath the Surface; Everything. An art-science-community collaboration in coral reef restoration by Aow Thai Marine Ecology Center (ATMEC) with Natalie Limwatana.

Most coral restoration today replants coral that's already decades old, and struggling, on a planet changing faster than it ever has. This project is built on field research showing that younger, wild-settling coral survives warming seas. Nature has had billions of years to learn what we're only beginning to understand, and genetic diversity is one of her lessons: it's what lets a reef adapt and endure. Here, we're looking to her for the rest, scientists, artists and community, learning to collaborate the way a reef does, in support of the wider web of life.
