Warin Lab Contemporary and Creative Migration/Bangkok 1899 presents The Permanent Temporary, an exhibition of works by Teetuch Hongkhongkha.
A plastic bag is used for minutes, then discarded, yet it stays in the world for centuries. Teetuch collects these bags and melts them into layered wall hangings that read like textiles: dense, luminous, and strangely beautiful. Following his solo exhibition Hidden in Plein Sight at Warin Lab in 2025, this presentation brings a selection of his works into a house that has stood since 1899. In this setting, two kinds of permanence meet: a home built to last, and a material that was never meant to, but refuses to disappear. The exhibition asks us to reconsider what “disposable” means and what we leave behind without meaning to.
