This new body of work depicts the isolation experienced through the global pandemic this year. The untitled works, printed on large canvases, give the opportunity for the viewer to step into the scene, and contemplate the new normal of quotidian life.
Shane Bunnag has been based between Paris and Bangkok the past four years. He has exhibited throughout Europe and Asia. This is Bunnag’s fourth solo exhibition in Bangkok following Katmandu Gallery, RMA Institute and Galerie Oasis. In addition to photography, his primary medium is documentary film. In Thailand, he has collaborated with artists Pichet Klunchun and Jakkai Siributr.
On good days, and at a very specific time, only for two weeks in the autumn, the sun cuts down golden through the streets. A moment of grace, like the cherry blossom season in Japan.
